Okay I need a book recommendation that we can use for shared/guided reading: suitable for year 5 that I can make a 6 week (3x lessons a week) plan from. Ideally looking for an author who is BRM, LGBTQ+, etc. with no more than 150 pages in the book #askbluesky #teachers #authors

Told my class I’m writing a book, sharing my current, minimal storyline and they loved it! They were quick to give me ideas around what to write more about next. Plan to map out my word count for over half term and get really stuck into this project. #firstdraft #firsttimewriter #author
