Carrying her baby on her back and with her seven other children on foot, she set out into the night. Walking 50 miles, through fear and hunger, until they reached Katashola Camp.

Chance hasn’t seen her husband since that night. She still doesn’t know if he’s alive.

The destruction of homes and infrastructure, food shortages, lack of clean water, and poor sanitation are making everyday life for displaced families a painful fight for survival.
