Truthfully, I’m surprised this thing hasn’t set fire to something yet. We bought it as a placeholder … 18 years ago, and, it’s still here. Tempting fate.

I’ve fostered/rescued a lot of dogs — there are things I can get the fosters to do that, with my own dog now, she would never do.

It’s like, the fosters just go with the flow because they never know up from down, but if you’re dog has been living with you a while they know they can say “no."

The rescue dog we’ve had for a year and a half has just started snuggling with me at night, which is so surprising because I started out as the spare.

I had a friend tell me that DC is the best place to get it in the US because the teff flour used for the injera is actually fresh in DC as they (at the time) had daily flights from Ethiopia to the US that would bring in the flour — which apparently spoils quickly.
