(Horror of) Dracula was my first Hammer movie. A bit subdued, but compelling enough to keep me digging. Feels like a clear entry point for horny Drac, complements to the chef (Christopher Lee)

Tod Browning is a real master of gothic poetry, and it’s amazing how he’s able to weave a genuine creepiness around and through Bela Lugosi’s schlock in his take on Dracula.

Saw A TRAVELER’S NEEDS over the weekend and it’s stuck with me to the point that it’s becoming one of my favorites of the year. I’m enamored by the way Hong Sangsoo approaches parallel structure and ritual, as if they can back their way into a life by their own volition.
