Nearly 3 months after I drove across the border into Canada en route to Alaska I wrapped up my northern travels and returned to the Lower 48. I'm ready to slow down and stay in one place for a bit but first I gotta get half way through the United States, so onward and southward!

Back in 2019 while driving the Klondike Highway to Alaska I passed the Dempster Highway sign and felt a pull. That year I only had time for one Arctic adventure, the Dalton, but I’m back and ready to explore more of the Yukon and Northwest Territories! #DempsterHighway

It was my 3rd time driving the Icefields Parkway through Banff and Jasper National Parks, and although it was cloudy and rainy most of the day this incredible route definitely did not disappoint!

With work meetings scheduled for back-to-back days I resupplied groceries and rambled up a gravel road to a remote camp perched high in the Porcupine Hills with a panoramic view of the Canadian Rockies.

After nearly a month of travel for work I had one week to push through my list of projects on the truck and camper before kicking off my summer adventures. It helped to have a flat spot secured in my brother’s yard and although I didn’t get everything done I did accomplish enough to hit the road!

I read 187 books last year and in this list I review some of my favorite titles. I even read a book about hedges in Great Britain so there’s bound to be something in here for just about anyone!

It’s been a productive week camped for free on the coast of Cabo Pulmo. Work, bike, run, snorkel, paddle, whale watch, happy hour tacos and cervezas, repeat. I've had a lot of offices over the years, but this is pretty perfect!
