That's correct. We've been exhausting every possible avenue to get the funding site online but the red tape has been extensive, to say the least. We're still working on it daily, as much as possible.

FlyBase's main grant was situated at Harvard, hence the defunding. It's unrelated to standards.

We very much appreciate your donations, as we do all user support! Unfortunately the fees we've collected from the last few years are "frozen" due to the grant termination. @briancalvi.bsky.social might have more information on the topic.
