The last UBI trial we had in ON was headed by Hugh Segal, a lifelong Conservative who a) believed that everyone deserved to survive and b) knew UBI works AND is economical.

I don't love all of them but the ones I do I love so, so SO much.

The results were good, but the action itself was sucky and stressful. And I say that knowing I'm one of the lucky ones, with a social and financial safety net to get through it.

I was lucky: generous friends gave me a safe place to land. Not everyone has that option; I was and am grateful.

Happily, my old neighbours keep reporting his non-permitted remodelling efforts to the City so his plan to make smaller apartments for more money has gone nowhere. Again: fuck that guy.
