Wanted to jump on the Frieren drawing trend. I don't usually draw this angle often, so this was nice practice. This was drawn in Clip Studio Paint Pro. The trees in the background are a tree brush that's like a stamp, which is why the leaves look off. No part of this was ai generated. #art

Started working on a Dark Pine holiday design for the Fourthwall shop. Let's imagine the Dark Pine Demon story had a happier ending... I mean, it technically ended on a cliffhanger. You never know. They could've become besties. 🤷‍♀️ #art #digitalart #indieauthor

Been adding some new book merch to the Fourthwall shop. Check it out and maybe pick something up while you're there. All art is drawn by me. #indieauthor #merch #smallbusiness

Hello Linux. Back to the ebay laptop and setting it up now that Windows 10 is up. Also, I forgot the password I had for Windows on it since it was a separate profile than the one I use on my main computer.

It's Fall! Time to get some spooky reading in. Check out my book "Dark Pine Tales of Terror", a collection os six scary stories. No ai was used in the creation of this book. You can order it most places you get books from including Amazon and Barnes & Noble. #indieauthor #scarystories #horror

Marcus the Worm is the most relatable in a weird way, especially when it comes to editing. #writing #editing #authors

New video on the way! It feels good to be recording videos for the channel again and not just Youtube Shorts.

Reading through my edit copy of “Opposing Forces” because I wanted to connect something from ch.1 to another moment in the pov switch, and I just realized I had the character mention stopping by the medical wing but never had her do that later on. 😅🙃 #writing #indieauthor

Let’s be honest, this is probably why it takes me so long to work on my books. I overthink and over plan everything. #vibes #authorlife

Time for the best part of the day. It’s time for the mid day cold brew.

Alright, the ssd is in the new old laptop. I’ve got it plugged in with the universal adapter. And it’s ALIVE! Time to get it a battery so it doesn’t have to stay plugged in to work. And I do need to get something to keep the ssd from falling out of place. But it works!

It’s been interesting going through the outline again for “Dark Connections”. I’m definitely going to be keeping as much as I can from the basic outline. Some things from the chapters I had written previously I want to salvage, especially the nightmare sequences. I’m excited to rework it. #writing

Rereading the story I’m reworking. It was one of a handful of unfinished stories I threw into an edit copy to figure out what went wrong with them. I was reading through it to find the villain’s name and I definitely need to salvage some of those nightmare sequences. They’re so good. #writing

POV: My desk in the morning as I wait to see if those mystery updates my computer did made a difference and seeing if my computer is actually usable today. #pov #workspace #desk

It may not be able to do much, but I’m writing on the refurbished chromebook. Sometimes a change of scenery is what you need. Even if it’s writing on a different machine

I am determined to get this computer running as smoothly as I can for a 2010 laptop in 2025. The keyboard will be the last thing I replace. Right now the focus is the battery and the ram. The hard drive was already replaced with a ssd. It’s up to Windows 10, but I’m gonna hold off on Windows 11

There’s something weirdly surreal about seeing both Cortana and Copilot on the same machine. Honestly, I prefer Cortana. I’ll take the bare basic digital assistant over the inescapable fully gen ai terror that is Copilot.

IT’S ALIVE!!! We’re up to Windows 10 now on the old college laptop. Needless to say, I’m pretty darn proud of myself for being able to save this thing. It’s been my backup for years now, and now that the hard drive has been replaced it can keep up the good work. #laptoprepair #tech

I am nothing if not determined. After a lot of opening and rescrewing in the bottom plate because of a media failure, I managed to get the og windows boot disks working! It’s time to revisit windows 7 baby!

Talk about a throwback. Fun fact, I was once a one hit wonder in the minecraft community. I used the Youtube remix feature and it blew up. But, like Herobrine, the song haunted me for years after. I kept getting comments asking if I’d seen Herobrine. I grew to hate the song and deleted the video

Back at it with “Opposing Forces”. Figuring out what I still need to do before jumping back into the main story. Definitely going to be adding a prologue. But I just want to see where I’m adding in new chapters first. #authors #writingcommunity #indieauthor

It had a good run, and it almost seemed like I could revive it to be the new backup if anything happened to my all in one. But alas, it got stuck on the restart and wouldn’t let me repair it. I think the old college laptop finally had it. It served me well.

Reviving my old college laptop. Not hard to believe it’s from 2011. Especially since the reset was installing Windows 10 and I’m dealing with Cortana. Honestly, Copilot could never beat Cortana.

Testing out different packing options for the 5x7 prints. I used to do 4x6 prints for etsy that never went anywhere, so I could bring those back.
