Also what information would have helped? DT being so obviously malignant shouldn't have been what Dems relied on to get votes. They needed to give us- Independents, sane Republicans, habitual non-voters, all of us- something to vote FOR. Instead they fell in line with the powerful and corrupt.

Yes in theory, but many people don't take their responsibilities seriously. We're not encouraged to take our civic duties seriously in this country. Many of us are undereducated, overworked, and just generally beaten down. It's hard to care about voting when candidates are so obviously out of touch.

Blaming voters is punching down- we have little power, many are misinformed, and we each make a choice as we see fit, as is our right. Blame the party leaders, they should be better at this. A moral stance on this would have obviously helped them win. They made poor choices.
