Mike Johnson -- who is, yes, theoretically a lawyer -- has not had a chance to look at the American Constitution because he's been very busy lately, folks, he just can't see everything, gosh, how is he supposed to know if it's wrong that the president called for the execution of congress members?

Also, civics are not taught in the schools in detail on a regular basis. If people really understood how the government is supposed to work they would fire the congresspeople who are not doing their jobs.
The question of "why do people vote against their self-interest" is pretty self-explanatory when you look up the literacy rate in local schools.
We have high schools with a literacy rate of 32%.
