Like...clung to the conversations structure and helped keep it moving? I think clinged next to clanged (fell loudly and slowed the conversation down) works.

I'm not...fully confident in this. I'll probably edit this out.

Now sat listening to the Scot Rail tune. Magic times that it turns out were 12 years ago.

Just about to post this video saying "Jim is fucking great at this"

I'm aware these opinions are very specific to me...

See, I saw this and thought £450 as I'm imagining it being a console competitor. £1000 enters the it _is_ a PC territory to my budget which price wise justify themselves as games+work. I'd then need it to run Windows/MacOS for the boring work programs.

I say that but it would need to be reasonably priced. Like, a normal price for a console sort of price, £450 sort of area.

I'm not in a £700 for a game box is fine world.

That's not how 1337 works

It feels weird to click like on this so it is "oh shit, glad you're doing better"

I'm playing the Switch remaster that has the twin stick controls and it's WILD how Not Old this feels. It's a 23 year old game I'm playing for the first time and it feels correct

This is a part of why I'm playing it! You referenced it once next to Halo, Titanfall 2 etc and I thought " I mean shit those are some of my favourite games"

All this to say - Metroid Prime seems fun so far!

Oh and I remember I felt like I had the better deal having a Master System compared to a kid in our class (who was also a classic bully, weirdly) that had a SNES because "at least mine has Sonic".

Sure, the controller was a rectangle with two buttons and it was a generation behind but SONIC!

Now I had gaming magazines and I saw 16 bit and 32 bit things but Mario 64 just felt...too big? It's not! But to my 10 year old, 8-Bit playing brain? INSANE.

Even next to PlayStation games it felt so different.

That plus no friends having Nintendo because "it's shit" has left me with a gap.

Now, at this point I didn't have a PlayStation and I hadn't had a 16-bit console either. I had what we could afford - a Master System 2 with Sonic 1 built in (which was way better than having Alex Kidd and Sonic Chaos looked just as good as Sonic 3 - these were the sorts of lies I told myself)

Nintendo from the era pre-WiiU (the first Nintendo I owned) always felt like a language I didn't understand in an odd way.

I remember seeing Mario 64 for the first time as a kid and it felt like something I couldn't parse. Like a game so different to what I knew I couldn't make sense of it.
