Hell, I'm reasonably sure they themselves don't believe what they espouse. But it drives traffic, so for them, their means wholly justify their ends.

I think it worth coming up with a nickname for people like Kirk, Crowder or Owens. Their arguments are always made in bad-faith because their point isn't to meaningfully contribute to public opinion. It is, instead, entirely parasitical; meant to receive attention and clicks.

Nearly every president since WW2 has engaged in some form of military campaign, and regardless of party, Congress has almost always been happy to pass the buck. If we truly want to prevent further military excursion, Congress needs to step up and reassert itself.

I agree that Congress should be responsible for any formal declaration of war. However, the opposition's hand-wringing about Trump's missile attack feels disingenuous.

This honestly relates to trust in the US in the first place. Remaining believable is important for both our own citizens and all those from other who would help, such as Iraqis who supported us.
