From outside the US it looks like Trump wants to provoke civil disorder to give him an excuse to declare martial law which will give him an excuse to indefinitely delay elections.

I think it’s more simple. Read Trump’s post as “hey, pharma CEOs, how big a bribe will you give me to get your drugs excepted from this?”. All when getting approving comments from MAGA and pretending to be tough on ‘Big Pharma’.

MPs keep saying that it’s the way Brexit was implemented which is causing the problem. They still don’t have the courage to say that it’s Brexit itself.

I’m not an expert so this may be a mad idea, but could we join the customs union & single market temporarily, for a few years? If Starmer said this would only be until the next election, then the public could decide, this could temper some of the Brexiteer arguments.

Not always acknowledged is the difficulty of sustaining relationships when you’re on flexible hours. To plan to meet friends when neither of you know your hours for the next week. Then finding out that their days off differ from yours so you sit at home bored.

To me, taking money off the most vulnerable doesn’t seem like a “hard decision “ to me. Now, taking money off the rich- they have really loud voices, large platforms & lots of friends. That’s the hard choice.

My theory is that no one else is invited because they’re making deals which will benefit them personally and they don’t want witnesses.

We should also talk about the individual costs of not doing anything. House floods and insurance doesn’t cover it? Storm rips roof off local primary school? Food costs rocket due to loss of agricultural land?

Yes I’m disappointed but all those things the tories were doing too and Labour is actually doing some good stuff too amongst all that. And they don’t have a bunch of MPs pushing them to copy Trump, trying to take us out of the ECHR, being an international embarrassment etc.
