@nicollewallace.bsky.social . I am confused on why we think Congress needs to act. Their constituents may be in pain, but the pressure should be on Trump because he is calling ALL the shots. Even if some compromise is made, he could still veto.

Mike Johnson is a eunuch. The government will open when trump says it will open. Even if a new deal is reached on healthcare, we still need the house to validate the new bill. And trump to sign it. I am not sure how much pain he is willing to inflict.

Charlie Dent does not get it at all! How many times did the Republicans refuse to even put proposals on the floor to vote on after saying they will? Lucy and the football. No trust that they will keep their word.

Of course, Comey trial will be non existent. It will be thrown out on procedural issues. But FOTUS has already achieved his objective. And then, who is paying financially for the use of the grand jury, courts and prosecution team?

So, company executives and owners who have lots and lots of money already and wanted to make more money than they could possible spend decided it was ok to sacrifice the right to free speech by all other Americans so they could make more money.

Just wanting to vent in a relatively safe space: Other social media sites have peeps changing their profile folks to Carlie Kirk and his family, weeping in his death. Absolutely zero posts from them after Minnesota assassinations or school shooting. Not convinced they care about violence.
