Good morning to everyone -except the #bbc
This morning they feature NO women’s sport on their front page sport headlines.

Not only is it misogynist- it’s also boring- diversity of sport story stories is more interesting to read &appeals to a wider audience. Half the readership are women after all

I guess all the talk of highlighting women’s sports following the Red Roses win on the weekend is over….. apparently only worthy of one days coverage- and now back to the usual invisible women
September 30, 2025 at 11:54 AM
Today on the #bbc sports headlines women’s sport is invisible. None of the 5 top stories on their front page feature women’s sport.
I have posted for 5months & in that time there has never been a day when women made up all 5 stories &men were invisible. But there are many many days women are ignored

“Some men changed their attitudes from misogynistic to more progressive after being more exposed to media coverage of women’s sport. This shows that more equitable coverage of women’s sport can lead to positive shifts in attitude and drive gender equality.”
September 11, 2025 at 7:18 AM
BBC sports headlines today: 2 stories featuring women’s sport out of 5.

Despite audience growth, women's sports receive significantly less media coverage compared to men's sports; in the U.S., for example, women's sports make up about half of all competitions but receive only 15% of media coverage*
September 5, 2025 at 8:21 AM
Another morning with no women’s sport highlighted on the BBCs main page under Sports Headlines.
If you scroll down they have Women’s Sport at the bottom of page separately. I have an issue with this as it’s like they are saying ‘Sport’ is men’s
And women sport is separate. What do you think?
August 31, 2025 at 9:48 AM
For the third day in a row the #bbc does not feature any women’s sports in its sports headlines.
