Thank you so much to everyone who donated and made suggestions for Artie's new name. The FLFO board met yesterday and chose Murphy! We started calling him by that name and he actually responds to it. Wouldn't it be interesting if that was his real name? Hmmm! #FLFO

Ari and Artie both saw our vet this week and got glowing reviews! Blood work and heart are good which is amazing considering their ages. That leads us to wonder why these two precious angels were abandoned by their owners? We're sure there are homes out there who will appreciate these fellows! #FLFO

It can take time and so much patience to learn about a new dog. With Ari, he was barking and being a little destructive. We finally figured out that he cannot tolerate being confined in any way. No crate, no barriers. He's just like The Tramp - a freewheeling, scrappy guy! Don't fence me in! #FLFO

When shelters are full and we get 12 pleas in three days to take old dogs, we stepped up again and rescued Artie. He was found wandering a busy street in Towson. Estimated to be about 14. He's very sweet! #FLFO

I just picked up this old guy, the shelter named him Arikazona, who was found tied to a box in a field in Baltimore City. Come on people, we can do better than this! He's safe now with Four-Legged Forgotten Oldies. #FLFO

Animal shelters are in CRISIS! My rescue has received at least 12 requests from shelters in the past three days to take old dogs. We need help. Adopt, foster, share the information! I'll be bringing these two into our rescues this weekend. #FLFO

I give up! Despite everything I do to prevent it, Dory has yet another UTI. This poor little cherub. She's a deaf, blind, toothless, incontinent 16yo 7lb poodle who was turned in as a stray to the Baltimore city shelter. Rescued by #FourLeggedForgottenOldies

Boomer HATES being brushed and trimmed. So we were very anxious about his first grooming appointment. Much to our stunned amazement, his groomer said: "He was a dream! 5 stars across the board. I wish they could all be like Boomer." Many thanks to Halie at Shaggy Chic Pet Grooming LLC. #FLFO

This is Bucky, the most recent addition to Four-Legged Forgotten Oldies. He was owned by 2 different people who never took him to a vet. When he arrived at the shelter, his eyes were "glued" shut due to untreated dry eye. When we rescued him, our vet treated him and he's doing great!
