The students in the AVID class researched colleges, prepared booths- with college materials, and took on the role of college representatives. They would then talk to perspective students and try to recruit them to the college they represented. A highly effective learning simulation.

"Children must be taught how to think, not what to think." - Margaret Mead’s quote emphasizes that the goal of education is not to fill children’s minds with predetermined answers, but to help them develop the skills to question, analyze, and understand the world for themselves.

Another successful Evacuation and Reunification Drill! We had two grade bands—elementary and high school—so older students can help younger ones in emergencies. We spent time with games, pizza, and drills. Big thanks to Timberlake Church.

Washington allocated just $6M for school safety grants across 295 districts (up to $500K each). With 2,550 public schools, small districts in our area didn’t receive funding. Safety is a priority in words, not in dollars. We need fair, proportional support to keep kids safe. #EdSafety

This is one of my favorite times of the month. We get to recognize students and staff who exemplify our four Core Values. There are teachers, classified, high school & elementary school students, and transportation riders in this group of deserving individuals.

"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing,"-Socrates.

This quote is deeply relevant to teaching and learning because it reminds both educators and students that humility and curiosity are the foundation of growth.

Honoring all who served. To my family: grandfather (WW2), father (Korea), uncle (Navy), stepfather (Vietnam), brother (Persian Gulf), grandfather-in-law (Air Force), and to every veteran: you fought for duty, country, and the American Dream. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

TL students defeated the TL staff 27–21 in a spirited clash of Experience vs. Youth. Skill mattered, but the donkey and the reins stole the show. Thanks to everyone who supported and helped raise funds for future classes and honor our veterans. #VeteransDay #ExperienceVsYouth #SchoolSpirit
