Driving in the Adirondack Mountains to cheer on Catherine and her Smith team in the DIII XC Championships. Photo was taken off a remote section of the Tupper-Saranac highway. An overnight snow made for a perfect drive.

Caroline graduated from Notre Dame University this Spring where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a Minor in Journalism, Ethics and Democracy. We are very proud of her hard work, accomplishments and the woman she has become! Great things ahead.

Remembering my mother on Mothers Day. I'm not sure when my parents started going to Cape Cod but it became a memoriable part of my childhood and early adult life. I'm certain this photo was made a decade before I was running around the beach! Happy Mothers Day to all you moms out there.

We visited Santiago Chile while Caroline was studying there for a semester. We toured the Memory and Human Rights Museum and it was extremely powerful. Between 1973 and 1990, my school aged years + college, Chile was a Dictatorship at the hands of General Pinochet. (continued in comments)

Family get together recently at Smith College to cheer Catherine and her team on. She ran great and I dusted off the cameras forgetting the challanges of indoor track photography.

I worked for The Star-Ledger for 20 years. Yesterday, 250+ former employees gathered to reminisce and reconnect. Yesterday was also the last printing of the newspaper. That was the reason to gather- not to morn the passing of print but to celebrate the collective spirit we all shared.

My father would have turned 100 years old today. Even at 98 we found new ways to enjoy our time together. On a freezing February day before he died we went for milkshakes and a slow drive through the old neighborhood and the cemetery he’s now buried in. He seemed at peace with the life he lived.

"If possible, Trump’s second inaugural speech was darker than his first. Rather than seek to unite Americans, he painted the darkest possible picture of the state of the nation and the character of his opponents. And he set himself up as a kind of messiah figure..." - NYT

This morning I signed out of Facebook after downloading all my posts, images and other data. I don’t use TikTok or Twitter and Instagram is an occasional glance. I honestly believe we were all better off before social media. Don’t forget Monday is a historic day- Go Irish!

Enjoying this new platform. FB has grown so tired and full of ads and posts that I really don't identify with.
