Except that he’s too late to do so. He knows that and this is all just theatre. An episode of The Trump Show that is airing and will pass. I’m guessing he’s hoping it’ll be another distraction from Epstein. Trump’s gotta keep moving - if he stops, just for a moment, it’ll catch up with him. We hope.

He is a career conman and his greatest con was getting elected president. It was brilliant - and for the American people it will be an historic embarrassment.

I don’t think they will but it is bad. My worry is that they will lose access, or even licences to operate. Americans need to fight for the BBC against this tyrant.

If this were any other person it wouldn’t be a problem for the BBC. But it is because Trump the man has blurred any distinction with Trump the president. He will use the power of the presidency to attack the BBC, and in consequence the UK. It’s (another) shakedown.

It’s not surprising that people are protesting a president destroying public property. It is astounding that tens of

He has cowed the media so it is now down to the electorate. I don’t believe any electorate in the world is stupid enough to vote for him again, certainly not US voters who value freedom and democracy.

Great to see hostsges returned. Long term peace though? Almost certainly not going to happen. Trump will spin until he - and we - are dizzy but it won’t change the reality on the ground.

Trump is a crook who realised that being a president placed his above the law. We sorted that out hundreds of years ago in England so no one in the UK is above the law. The US is playing catchup.
