Just to be clear, I'm talking about "write a short essay on the importance of not using LLMs for assessments". Not the giraffe thing.

I do this every semester. What's more effective, I *tell* the students that I do it and get them to imagine what other things I might be doing.

All these arguments and counter-arguments tend to assume that the genie is a perfectly logical automaton and not, say, just a guy who's capable of granting wishes.
