For #fossilfriday, Procolophon, a parareptile, from the early Triassic of South Africa. A Brazilian researcher encouraged me to photograph this beautiful specimen. These taxa had a wide geographic distribution, and are also found in Brazil, Russia, and Antarctica.

For fossil Friday, skull of DNH 155, Paranthropus robustus, estimated to be 2.04 - 1.95 millions of years old.
This specimen has contributed to the revelation that there is considerable variation in Paranthropine forms in the South African fossil record.

For #FossilFriday, The skull of Australopithecus sediba (MH1) photographed in the hominin vault at the Evolutionary Studies Institute. Estimated to be 12 to 13 years of age, and to have existed approximately 1.98 million years ago. For #FossilFriday.
