I second the procedural generation but with valheim

Valheim has got to be my pick. That feeling of accomplishment after building is something else. I’ve played solo and with friends and I love it both ways, though exploration may be lacking a little

Dark souls is full of stuff like this but I definitely completely missed great hollow / ash lake my first time through. It was so well hidden and I still think how funny it is that it is so missable

I’ve only ever played civ 5 so that’s probably your best bet
