Not a serious technical assessment, but seeing the model behavior my gut tells me that they essentially found a way to clone/replicate closed models by extracting chat sessions and retraining.

In my experience, labeling/checklists/classification works well. However, we still have not found a reliable way to evaluate any open-ended attributes judging quality of output with LLMs, “Is this any good”. It’s Obama gives Obama medal type of situation.
