Just trying a new social media platform. Love family, dogs, golf, music, movies, exercise, books, and anything else that brings a smile. Not here for work or politics, just fun engagement.
Sad to see all of my “friends” being kicked off that other platform. I have fond memories from people I discovered on X. Hopefully the warm water on 🦋 remains for those who migrate over here. A plus for me, it’s easier to interact here!

If you’re a kid in a cute costume, grab a handful. If you’re older, rude, and without a costume, be happy I gave you a piece! Such is Dad life

So we had a no show this weekend. I’m not sure if I’m angry or concerned something happened…

Ok Chicagoans, what is happening in your city the weekend of July 18 - 20? I just tried to make a rooftop bar reservation for the 19th and it’s already sold out! I’m glad I was able to book a suite at LondonHouse, but it sucks that I can’t schedule drinks…

To all my Blue Sky people, if you have a wishlist, add The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel to your wishlist. There’s a chance I send it to you as a gift. It’s the best book about money I’ve ever read.

What a birthday. Prime & Provisions in Chicago is fantastic. Londonhouse isn’t the Waldorf, but the rooms are pretty sweet. And the company couldn’t have been better. You know who you are 😉

95% sure I’ve already picked out my birthday meal at Prime & Provisions in Chicago. Couple that with a stay at Londonhouse (hope it’s cool), date with the Mrs, and one more special lady, I couldn’t be more excited! And I have a companion to eat oysters with. Happy birthday to me!

Sounds about right!

Any Chicago folks, I’m curious as to your thoughts on the following hotels: LondonHouse Chicago, Hyatt Regency, the Wit, Palmer House, Park Hyatt. Probably not as nice as the Ritz or Waldorf, but are any of these good options?

Are people already dealing with imposters on here?

For my Chicago friends, have any of you eaten at Sepia? Our Saturday in January is already spoken for, wink wink, but was thinking about knocking off another Michelin restaurant on Friday night. Thoughts?

Got to take a ride in this bad boy today. Pretty swell. Happy Thanksgiving!

Disney Day 2…first cocktail at 12:45p but more than 12,000 steps already.

Disney update, all family members are still alive. Can’t imagine what this place is like when it’s busy. Supposed to be marginal crowds today…

The hardest thing about air travel, trying to not eat absolute rubbish on your layover. Arugula and shaved fennel salad? Yes, please!

Got a room at the Waldorf Astoria - Chicago for a special January trip. Who has stayed there and what advice/recommendations do you have?

It’s not much but it is the first snow of the year here in Michigan. Not a bad view out of my office window. Perfect time to pull out my Cotopaxi down hoodie.

Best part of being here…learning. I’m trying to be a sponge. Keep up with the education.
