All things Theatre.
Blimey! I saw that whilst a student and didn’t even realise she was in it—she was not on my radar then. I was bored stiff with the production, I remember that, but it was one of my first visits to the then new building.

So envious! But yes, I was thrilled to be present and see her performing Sondheim live at that event—in front of God himself, no less.

Always sorry it’s not “I Leclerc”

23 November 1963. It was repeated the following week along with episode 2. I saw it both times. I’m old!

Agree with you 100%; 4 of us said the same. Whereas, The Frogs at Southwark Playhouse, probably done at less than 10% of the cost, was a quirky delight.

So good!

It was magical to see her last Saturday at the Crazy Coqs, where she included some beautiful Sondheim. Also completely magical duet with Julian Ovenden singing one of the best renditions of “Move On” I’ve heard. Spine tingling.

How wonderful! Love them all, but thrilled to be seeing you and Julian on the Saturday. How lucky are we?

Husband and I have devoured it and both loved it, thank you. Looking forward to seeing what Tommy does next. Having lived through the period I loved the small details that made it so authentic. Yes, I remember “Matey”.

Yup! That’s when I saw it. December 85, and a ‘bit’ older than you. 😂

Wasn’t it sublime! Nearly 40 years since I first saw her perform “I Dreamed a Dream” live, and she still gave me the same tingles.

Available on Kindle now! Bought and downloaded. Can’t wait to see what Tommy is up to now.

Loved Titanique. Hugely enthusiastic audience, who obviously did too, but thankfully didn’t perform a Pavlovian ovate. But, such a talented cast, great vocals and dancing, who were obviously enjoying it as much the audience.
