My Dad was a Labour man to his core, and a Party member. He always said that, even if you didn't like the members of the Government, you had to be loyal to the Party. The top ones in this current Government make that a bit difficult - though Streeting might turn out to be interesting.

I don't think Netanyahu ever wanted a real ceasefire, he just wanted the credit for one after his meeting with The Donald. Then the IDF could continue attacking Gaza and blame Hamas for everything, and while the war is ongoing, he can avoid a corruption trial.

No doubt.😄 Though I heard on the News this morning that, if the ceasefire holds, he may well have a good chance next year.

I think they both said 750,000 illegal immigrants. Even that pair couldn't start deporting people who have been legally accepted under current laws.

Well put Espen. I think the appalling Netanyahu does a disservice to his own people by pursuing his illegal campaign in Gaza just so he can stay in power. It's helping to encourage antisemitism that should never exist.

I don't know about the last 70 years, and I'm not condoning the Hamas attack, but what Israel has done since is appalling, all ordered by the ghastly Netanyahu so that he can stay in power and avoid corruption charges.

True. Unfortunately, the UK is a bit forced to kow-tow to the US ever since the English voted to leave the EU. Trump likes flattery, and no one smarms like Starmer.

I think Linehan's comments were very unpleasant, but maybe being met by 5 armoured police at an airport as if he was an International terrorist is a bit over-the-top and gives publicity to his views.
