Dr. Colleen Shogan is an outstanding public servant and was the first woman to serve as Archivist of the United States. She hired me as Director of the Eisenhower Presidential Library. Her removal was a travesty.
"It's not a political appointment, and it's never happened in American history previously....I was never given an explanation for why I was removed."
