Seeing this building being taken down hurts. What happened on the 4th is tragic on numerous levels, and would have been exponentially worse if the building had been fully occupied that night. 2/

Great piece. I love the city of Albany, and the saving grace after Rockefeller’s (and others’) destruction of 98 acres in the core of the city is what *wasn’t* but might have been destroyed as well: the beautiful, intact row houses just beyond the destruction zone.1/
