In a nationwide sample of 6,433, 18 to 31 year olds 18.4% reported at least one type of CM. Huge differences in the prevalence of CMs depending on the subjective social status. See table below.

The inclusion of criterion A2 for example does change the prevalence for PTSD in Germany. Especially older birth cohorts report more PTSD if criterion A2 is excluded.

I am also no big fan of the narratives Shedler is telling. Part of the truth is that there are structures within the PDT field that have let to this situation and are still partly present. E.g. prejudice against empirical work or the exclusion of doing a PhD and therapist training simultaneously.

Trans zu sein ist keine moderne, "westliche" Erscheinung. Transpersonen gab es zu jeder Zeit und in jeder Kultur. Oftmals lebten sie freier und akzeptierter in der Gesellschaft als heute. Hier ein Beispiel einer Zuñi-Indianerin ca. 1880.
