Trying to remember the last time I felt truly hopeful about my future and maybe this makes me an idiot or something, but it’s been way too long. The rut I’m in grows ever deeper. Thank the gods for gaming. At least it helps get my mind off things. For a time, at least.

One of the more difficult aspects of growing older is how friends (if any still remain at all) seldom reach out anymore. Not through malice, but due to lack of time or perhaps lack of thought toward yourself. It happens. People change paths. Grow apart. I understand it. Still, it is sad.

Two months until I’m 40 and I can’t say I’m thrilled. Things seem to be gradually falling off the rails. Serenity is found with games and keeping to myself lately. Cyberpunk 2077. Anime on the tv. A lot of blankets on the bed. The right way to wind down a day.
