Which leads me to thinking that it would be fairer if just the first two of the regular season go up.

No more dramatic money spinning play offs though.

I thought Glasgow were exceptional in the second half. They had an intensity and precision that suffocated Toulouse. Very few turnovers at the breakdown, despite the best efforts of Jacques Willis, and not a knock-on to be seen! There was the usual pre-match Toto hype but George Horne was the man.

Yes I don't see a problem with a straight two up two down. Furthermore Canal+ isn't bothered about the Pro D2 Access match disappearing.

I would even advocate the same system for promotion to the Top 14, though the broadcaster might be more reticent.

Nice simple kits and no danger of mistaking one team for the other.

Has it rained a lot in Toulon recently or does the pitch always cut up so much?

Jurd is good but what a challenge for a 19 year old!
His halfback partner, Nolhann Couillaud, is also only 19.
The two of them have however been together since the under 12s.

The second half served up the usual #ProD2 craziness. A straight right that would have looked good in the boxing ring, a 40m drop goal and SAXV seeing it out at the end whilst a player down. Great entertainment!

Half time and a bit of a scrappy affair so far. Agen's strong pack is a worry for SAXV but the flaky SUA lineouts have let them down. Good reaction from SAXV after the 80m Agen try.
All to play for in the second half on a #ProD2 Thursday night 😁

Interesting insight from Billy on his time with different clubs in France 👍

As for the Vannes outfit, replicating that worn on foundation in 1950, I agree with Rob; it would make a great away strip. I would even be happy to see it replace the home strip; I'd have to get a new bobble hat though!

Agreed; a thoroughly entertaining game. And the first time I've seen Rayasi look convincing in a UBB jersey.

Much better 👍

I think that there is a problem with the link to the article, at least for me.

A couple of comments on yet another enjoyable listen 👍

1200 spectators at Massy according to Midol.

Far Breton is not a cheesecake, it's more of a flan; just eggs, milk and flour. Prunes are a very common addition, sometimes pre-soaked in something alcoholic 😋

He pushed him over.

One game of 23 JIFFs would be enough to get both Brive and Vannes back on quota today. But they can't carry on til the end of the season as they have been.
November 20, 2025 at 9:39 AM
That should read under the quota: 173 for at least 176 required.
November 19, 2025 at 10:14 PM
After 11 matches Vannes are only 3 JIFFs over the quota, according to "allrugby.com". I recall that they put out 23 JIFFs for the last match of the 23/24 season!

It seems unfair that they will not be a part of the Nations Championship when they are ranked higher than three other teams that will.
November 18, 2025 at 5:35 PM
And in line with their substantial 21.8M€ budget, almost 3M€ more than the second highest #ProD2 club.

It was a great evening out. The build up with the hymn, fireworks and breton music was excellent as was the atmosphere in the first half. It dropped with Vannes' performance at the start of the second half but came roaring back again as RCV eventually got the upper hand.

Not a great match though.
November 16, 2025 at 11:03 PM
Official attendance was 29,842.

Just back from the match and if ever you do get the chance I can recommend it. It was a great evening out.

Enjoyed reading it 👍
I am going to be there with family, and I just hope that the public gets the stadium rocking to an even higher level than at La Rabine.
