So before all the #TheLastOfUs hype came about, I had written the first draft of book 7 in the #WordSpider series.
A redemption story, for one character traveling the wilderness, they come across some cordycep infected creatures, and some warriors hunting them.

I have sat in worse place to do some writing. The joy of having a roof terrace at work. Might have to move out of the sun though.

Alongside writing, I enjoy a little photography. Last night I was lucky enough to finish work early and on the way back to my hotel, took the opportunity to take some snaps.

And coming very soon is book 5. We see our hero Kurt, looking out from a small broken village and towards the general and his army.

Book 4, sees a new protagonist. After the events of book 3 Kurt the slug finds himself far far from home. With friends new and old, they are hunted down by the relentless colony of ants and their general Arthur Artilious.

Book 3 and Alice and her friends need to return to the old Bookshop. A relic from the humans past threatens them all, but what awaits them inside the walls of the shop.

Book 2, with Alice looking out over the wastelands and back towards her home and the old bookshop. (Which is based on the actual Swansea Waterstones)
The cover also points towards the story of book 3.

I was very lucky when I found @jonstubbington.bsky.social and he agreed to be part of The Word Spider series.

His artistic ability and imagination has truly brought my books to life.

I imagine a little caravan of these creatures, walking across the desert. Kind of a nomadic tribe.

Definitely a short story in there, may even feature a full tale.

When I killed off one of mine, it was bitter sweet, they needed to go, to help the MC move on, and grow. But I made sure they went out in style.

How many characters have you all killed off?

Alongside editing book 5 in #TheWordSpider series, I'm painting these lovely 3D printed versions of Alice the MC from the series, for a display at the shop where my books are for sale.

Undercoat is all done, next is the shading and then some pure white to bring them alive.

I had the latest versions of the art work for book 5 in #TheWordSpider series over from @jonstubbington.bsky.social the other day. Guess I need to get on with the edits.
