Its a massacre. Evol is, by far, their most mysterious album and the one I reach for most these days (even though I "technically" think Sister is stronger).

Grew up in semi-rural Lincs with my grandparents deep in the Wolds. A Proustian sight for sure.

Passover might be their technical masterpiece, that little bass hump. It sounds so minimal and imploded.

A fine choice. For reasons I can't explain I always break out Arthur Lyman's Taboo when the tree is being trimmed and have a gin & tonic to "Sea Breeze". Strangely festive.
