Really digging the new non vr release of Alien: Rogue Incursion on PS5. The Alien warriors are really faithful to the Stan Winston puppets. I hope they release a part 2.

Finally finished Ys X Nordics. 50 Hours. Holy moly. Saw the ending coming a mile away. I had fun tho, but I still prefer Dana.

The new Rebor "Kiss" island variant of the Tyrannosaurus rex is a lovely model. I love the large osteoderms near the front of the snout. With the mouth open it really gives off a snake like gaze. It's an absolute unit too, big, built and powerful.

I'm 100% certain the reason the Jurassic World films keep doubling down on the mutant dinosaur thing is because of Universal IP. Think about it, they can't copyright Tyrannosaurus rex (I know they've tried) but they can a Distortus rex or a Mutadon. I don't know why I didn't think of this before.

That third episode of Walking With Dinosaurs 2025 was rough. Extensive reuse of animated shots was something I'd expect to see in a discovery doco not something from BBC's natural history unit. I mean, I'm only 3 episodes in and the whole time I'm thinking "what the hell were they thinking??!!".

So I read the book "Dragons Egg" after hearing it was the inspiration for the ST: Voyager episode "Blink Of An Eye".
I found it a pretty hard read honestly. Too much time was spent on the ridiculous "Cheela" and not enough on the humans interacting with them. 1/2
