Serving as a strategist at 21st Theater Sustainment Command has been an honor. Every day was a learning experience, improving how our #Army provides #logistics across #Europe, enabling allied support to #Ukraine, and working with our #NATO allies to deter Russsia.

Onto the next challenge.

Day trip to another European country, another war cemetery. Honoring those whose fidelity to the principles of democracy and freedom motivated them to risk their lives for a greater good. A humbling reminder of the sacrifice of others.

It’s a Good Friday in Europe for a walk in the woods, touching grass, thinking about nothing in particular.

Not mentioned by name, but you are absolutely right that learning from the experience with Pritchett is what drove the movement to choose Connor as their future target.

So much for my (almost) perfect #FinalFour bracket.

Not bad for someone who didn’t watch a single regular season game 🤷‍♂️

For some reason, “Execution of Torrijos and his Companions on the Beach at Málaga” by Antonio Gisbert Pérez has been haunting my mind for the last several months.

Standing up to authoritarianism is costly, but the right thing to do.

New home for the next several months while I attend strategery nerd school.

Locals welcomed me with a blanket of snow.

Such an honor to spend some time today with Buck Sloan, perhaps the only remaining survivor of this battle.

Truly “Second to None”!

Today we honored this WWII veteran (who fought that day alongside my grandfather).

More importantly, we remembered all the Soldiers we lost.

Buck Sloan (Bravo Company, 38th Infantry Regiment) got hit by a grenade that took him out of the war, but he lived to return today and tell the story today about how he “got the other bastard with my pineapple.”

I have a couple fancier watches for appropriate occasions, but my daily wear is old enough to remember fighting Nazis, and winning.
