Building Services Engineer (CEng), married with one kid who is growing up way too fast.
Such a non story designed to spread more hate to those on benefits. I'm an engineering consultant. When developing energy and services strategies for buildings we consider all sorts. Doesn't mean we were going to actually put wind turbines in the middle of London.

Christians don't commit similar violence?! Really...

My wife who has seemingly passed the dislike on to our son. Weirdos.

Exactly. I've been wanting to check them out for a while as they have a seafood restaurant too but fuck em.

A local chippy started using AI for it's social posts. Then without any sense of irony posted about how we should be supporting small local businesses...

Seeing some parallels to partygate here. Johnson denied wrongdoing when the claims came to light. Had he just put his hands up and apologised he'd probably still have been PM for longer. Instead it led to further investigation and more damaging information coming out.

Similar here, I regularly had to do long drives for work last year using hire cars. One had ACC and blew my mind, especially when half the M1 had roadworks. Made sure our new car had it this year.

I thought that was Mayor Humdinger at first, urgh having kids certainly change you...

The whiplash on socials has been staggering. For years they were not to be listened to because they always got it wrong and are lefties with an agenda, then for a brief few days they absolutely were a beacon of truth amd impartiality but now they are untrustworthy again and have a lefty agenda. 🙃

A future government doesn't need a referendum to take us out. The one we did have wasn't binding and we still left.
December 2, 2025 at 8:20 AM
A poll isn't the same as a referendum campaign. The media just managed to convince loads of folk that helping our is actually bad over the weekend.

Stay out will win easily.
December 1, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Facebook has gone the same way but not as extreme yet. Over the weekend I must have seen the same story about the mum with 5 kids over 20 times from different pages. Comments full of 'digital creators' posting rage bait responses and others just posting "vote reform"...

They spent all day yesterday asking this question. Maybe move to something else?

She tried explaining this a bit in regards to reacting to updated forcasts in the Kuenssberg interview but was ignored and asked if she lied again...

We had to tell the person at the till who then took what like felt a life time to check the list.

Talk TV had a bloke who, despite not getting along with his sister, knew to the exact pound all the benefits she got that, when added up, were double the overall benefit cap that's in place.
November 29, 2025 at 11:23 AM
That as well, the couple of articles I clicked on state the cap right at the end after large ad gaps and even then it's a suggestion she might not get what she thinks. Pure rage bait.

I've seen this posted all over FB today and as suspected, the comments are a cesspit. The caption intentionally misses out they had the kids whilst the father worked till ill health stopped him. Totally irresponsible reporting.

The desire to make everything the government does dramatic is getting tiresome.
November 26, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Unfortunately I think until Farage has had a go and failed as spectacularly as Johnson did, many won't accept it was never going to work. Sadly, that means 5 years of Reform in charge...

Near us, they put the Christmas lights up leaving the flags alone. It looks scruffy as hell. The lights are getting formally switched on this Thursday.

I had a great one too but after the pandemic I forgot to go again then learned I was discharged as a patient when I tried booking a check-up. I'm kicking myself every time I fork out to go private.

Agree, the sauce ruins everything it touches.
