His name was Paul, not Jack. Maybe you are projecting from your 50's grade school experience. I came to appreciate Revere as an adult.

Dawes and Revere were going to key people who would start others out. The number of messengers would grow exponentially. That does not diminish what Revere did.

So, I am calling bullshit on the arm to muster claim. I live in Bedford,MA. Two miles as the crow flies from the location of the then meeting house. They regularly ring bells there. In all the years I have lived there I have never heard them at my home.

You are demented. Dawes was with Revere when Revere was captured. He was thrown from his horse and the horse ran off as he fled the patrol. That ended Dawes night. He had a good night. Did his duty. But he did no more than Revere that night.

It is not based on fiction. I stand by all of the facts I mentioned. His action should be celebrated along with others. I learn most of what I know about Paul Revere in this century and the more I have learned the more I understand why he is admired.

Going around in circles here. He would be known to history because of Patriots day and his activities before and after. I don't understand the need to bring him down in an effort to recognize others.
