Been a while, since I posted, so let me share with you a display my local pet store has set up for showing how nicely emersed aquarium plants can grow.

It has taken a while, but my white clouds have figured out how their food stuck to the glass works and they‘re getting excited for it now 😄

Today I came home kind of late into a dark apartment only lit by the lights of my aquariums. I really enjoy the atmosphere it created in my room and now you get to enjoy it, too!

Finally remembered to take before and after pictures for a maintenance session. So, here you go :D
All of the Ludwigia stems have been replanted, they‘re just not visible from this perspective.

Been feeling quite sick the past few days but I managed to go for a walk yesterday. So here is a video of me feeding a local squirrel in the park.
Not quite my usual Aquarium stuff but I‘ll be back to that, soon.

Got to do a big maintenance session on the 180L for the first time in a while. I keep forgetting to take „before“ pictures to show the difference. Let‘s just say I filled a 5L bucket to the brim with trimmings.

I have decided it’s time to appreciate kuhli loaches once again. Now that the front of my tank is no longer a vast jungle, they‘ve been wiggling through the Bucephalandra thicket more again.

Did a big trimming and maintenance session on the 72L. Removed some of the Helianthium bolivianum in the front because it got too large (see my hand for comparison). Replaced it with Eleocharis acicularis, which will hopefully be better.

I recently saw something new in the fish store: white black neon tetras. I thought they were pretty cool, yet a quite funny concept.

Bit of a deviation from my usual posts but I was recently at a Guns N‘ Roses concert and I was very happy to see them supporting #Ukraine 🇺🇦

This little guy or gal has a favorite hangout/hiding spot which is also kept quite clean. It‘s nice to see your fish develop some habits.

It‘s been way too long since I posted, so here is my latest attempt to get a nice video of the emperor tetra tank. Needless to say, it was taken a bit late.

Today, let me just share with you a brief view into my tank. Watching my white clouds go about their business.

Update on my wabenmuster pleco female. She‘s been in quarantine for a few weeks and has finally started eating nicely about a week and a half ago. I also don‘t have to blanch her zucchinis anymore for her to feed on them. Getting better! ☺️

I feel like it‘s time for an update on the tanks. The bigger 72L might need a trim for the Helianthium bolivianum but I enjoy the jungle-vibes it gives and so do my kuhli loaches 😁

I‘ve been struggling recently with my female Wabenmuster pleco. She‘s been getting bullied by the male and got very thin. So today I almost completely disassembled the tank and put her into quarantine where she‘ll hopefully get back some strength munching on some zucchini 🤞

Today it‘s time to appreciate the undersides of some of my pets. I got this neat shot of the underside of my kuhli loach, as well as seeing a berried shrimp with the eyes of the shrimplets already visible. I‘ve only seen that once before.

Let me share with you today some pictures of my favorite fish: the emperor tetra (Nematobrycon palmeri). I love the shimmer and blue eyes on the males as well as the green eyes on the females.
As a bonus: a Siamese algae eater.
All of them are fairly old already at 4-5 years.

Today was waterchange day for me. My white clouds and the shrimp are excited for some fresh new water! :)
Also, as a bonus, a picture of a sneaky kuhli loach.

I haven’t shared much about the plants in my tanks yet, so here is the beautiful flower of one of my Bucephalandra kedagang, as well as some newly forming leaves of my Anubis nana var. ‚pinto‘.

Not much has changed in my tanks but I still think they look quite nice :)

Managed to get this nice shot of my golden white cloud and thought I‘d share. Active fish like that are really hard to take good pictures of.

It‘s not always easy to find your favorite fish in your tank, so today I have a kuhli loach in hiding and my rarely-visible ‚wabenmuster‘ ancistrus for you!
Do your fish have any favorite hiding spaces?

I don‘t really impulse buy fish but I saw these gold white cloud mountain minnows on Saturday and couldn‘t resist them longer than until today. They instantly got along with my resident white clouds, which was nice to see. :)

It‘s Monday, so I feel like posting one of my favorite fish of all time: my kuhli loaches. I just love watching these little wiggly fish.
