They definitely do a sales job. Basically tell you you’ll freeze to death without gas… and then they get to control the software that switches between gas and electric.

I wonder if Ohtani walks home from there 😂

Agreed. It is a useful tool when there is something that you need to do but have no interest in actually learning the skill. For me, it was VBA in Excel. Needed to write something but really not a skill I need or want.

I don’t live in Toronto but I have been to many Jays games. It is very convenient to get there by transit or walking, depending where you stay. I’d gladly take this over a sea of parking and the traffic mess that occurs in the aftermath. Stadiums in the suburbs suck!

The reason for this is that the MEng offered a short program to gain experience towards PEng. However, now they would be unlikely to get to stay to work, so they aren’t coming.

Not sure if it varies by department, but my department says it still has excess allocation of PALs, so we have not hit any limit there. Students with offers are getting more scrutiny and more are denied. Our MEng program has disappeared due to lack of demand not due to lack of capacity.

My understanding is that universities still have capacity to bring in international students, but the demand has evaporated. (Colleges are a different story). This seems to be because there is no longer a reasonable pathway to be able to stay and work in Canada after graduation.

I mean… Ontario universities are in complete financial chaos due in large part to the inept provincial government. I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to come here if their role involves teaching in any way. Workload has exploded.

Good thing it wasn’t a modern truck. Those high front ends would have killed her.
