If the barnacles were in Suffolk, most likely the local feral flock. They are around all year.

Just seen pictures from the site showing “birders” standing up against its favoured bush where it was showing. Then claiming it is elusive!

Hi. Unfortunately not by me. It showed well in bare branches in the canopy of the copse about 10ft from me. But as I reached for the camera it flew. It was reported later in the afternoon by the pool, so others may have some. 🤞
