Do you have separate color tokens for your text and icons, or combine them into a single foreground token? I see some benefits to each but curious where folks landed and why.

In curious:
If you were to start a new design system for a (react) product for a relatively small company (~100 employees), would you leverage an existing library or framework (MUI, Material 3, shadcn, bootstrap, etc.), or just build custom from the ground up?
