I still can’t believe this is now, I had to write some things briefly to give my thanks to the one we call D’Angelo.

Emma Stone and Mikey Madison might be the best back to back win in that category ever?

I think whatever you eat during The Brutalist intermission says a lot about you

David Lynch. A monumental moment will always be held by him, living or dead. We will all miss him more than can be written.

Moore is a nice surprise but over Madison for me is tough to rationalize. Sebastian Stan is also a nice surprise (I did predict that win though) and very well deserved.

Why do the globes think it’s a better idea to gps pin people at tables over playing a simple 15 second clip.

If we get a sequel to A Complete Unknown I’m fully committed to pushing for them to put that time Bob randomly appeared on Pawn stars to sign an autograph for Chumlee as the final scene.

If you wanted to see Steve McQueen make a Bleecker Street movie, Blitz is right up your alley. Needless to say it’s one of the most disappointing movies I’ve seen in several years. I’m truly not sure what happened here in putting this all together…

Antonoff will always get my defense because he produced Melodrama. It’s unsurprising to see his name on the tracks on GNX, really brings that super metallic sound that I think Antonoff does so well but not enough. He can get in a comfort zone but when he’s out, it’s obvious why he’s a go to.

Anora? Yeah, incredible. Silk to rust to snowy skies. It's been a hefty drought since a film has given me so much in return. Baker's work started very timid with me up until the incredible Red Rocket. He keeps leveling up but this is his most ambitious and intimate balancing act yet.

Well, it’s official. My local arthouse theater has shut its doors. This doesn’t come as surprise as, the owner failed the community and the business on several levels. Most notably a catastrophic failure to understand the principle rule of cinema, community over money.
