NYCFC had the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever... (and the Cyclones are on the road tomorrow too)

This movement between Nico Fernandez and Maxi is wonderful to see.

Maxi recognizes the deep run from Nico, so moves towards the ball to pull the center back with him to create more space for the ball over the top, then curls back at the right moment to support

I'm not quite sure how this did not result in a card, let alone even a foul call.

If a player challenging late with their feet can result in a card, then why doesn't the same apply with the head?

This should have been, at minimum, a yellow card and a FK. Arguably red.

I'd really like to see Agustin Ojeda take a first-time crack at these opportunities instead of laying it off. He had it on his preferred right foot and opted to lay it off instead.

Reminded me of when Malachi Jones was presented a similar opportunity last season...

NYCFC will be floating a 700 pound, 5 story tall inflatable pigeon down the Hudson River tomorrow.

It will finally end up in Willets Point where rumor has it that it will transform into the concrete sculpture that will adorn Etihad Park

Last week, I asked Mehdi Ballouchy about the deployment of center backs and his response centered around the versatility of Justin Haak.

@justinegan.theoutfield.nyc expertly breaks down how Pascal Jansen applies that versatility in his tactical adjustments the last month +

If you recently saw the @theoutfield.nyc logo gracing southern Wisconsin’s coverage of the WI state budget and are wondering where you can buy merch, check out the link here: www.etsy.com/shop/TheOutf...

If you didn’t catch the “dad hat” in the 608 area code, you can still click the link above.

Tayvon Gray doesn’t do nearly enough to block the run here, but ultimately Bakrar has to win that ball.

Completely misjudged it and allows the free header.

Just a lack of focus from Gray and Bakrar to see this out into extra time.

Last week, the Public Design Commission fully approved the proposed NYCFC stadium facade designs, including the giant pigeon slated for the East wall. Updated renderings below.

Some very slight updates to the design, mostly to the exposed aggregate material.

Keaton Parks was asked during the 2023 preseason which young players impressed him and he specifically mentioned 15-year old Jonny Shore (before he had signed with the first team. Now 18, Shore is making plays for the first team
