I like biking, birding, Bach, and the Beatles. Bollards, too.

I would say that it is fitting that you include a Thomas Malthus doomer quote that turned out to be totally wrong. This whole project is misguided. It's the best time to be alive no matter how you measure it.

My day was pretty good, and if I think about it in the big picture, it's amazing how functional and luxurious are society actually is.

Come on now, I hear your feeling down. I can ease your pain and get you on your feet again.
Relax. I need a little information first. Just the basic facts, can you show me where it hurts.

Certain cultists have set a date for the end of humanity: 2100. Except with the caveat that it only "is a lot more likely to happen than not" and the contradictory caveat that it is inevitable, but only "very possibly" inevitable.

Confusing.

I can't help but think of the religious cultists who tell us what year the world is going to end. The year passes and we are still here and then they just shrug. I don't want to think of them, but I can't help it.

There has never been a better time to be alive except maybe 10 years ago.

I know you are not in a mood to hear it, but in general health, wealth, happiness, safety, education, women's rights, civil rights, death in war, death by anything: these measures all show incredible improvement over the decades, centuries, and millenia. LIFE IS GOOD.

You have to lose one. I want know if your win % will remain at 100 since it is well over 99.5 or if it will drop to 99%.

Clinton wouldn't have stuck with Garland, who was an olive branch to the Rs in 2016.

300 billion times 30 is 9 trillion. That would be good for our budget but we don't get anywhere near that.

In considering the reproductive system of the chicken, still a good deal.

The Doors are still relevant in the sense at least that the Bandsplain podcast did an episode on them. Plus the YouTube clips... phenomenal.

As a soldier in the War on Cars, I have come to hate the noise of vehicles, especially now that many muscle cars and pickup trucks come out of the factory ridiculously loud. Therefore, Tesla even the Cybertruck is OK in my book.

The problem is that the data is not coming in so good on inflation. At least it has been persisting above 2%. So what's he talking about?

This is not going to create the change that is needed. Like you said, right on. We know economists generally can't even predict out one year with any credibility.
