Usually I can at least see what it is about a popular figure that is appealing to people. But not in this case. He’s a charisma vacuum, streams from a filthy bedroom, very transparently just decided to pivot to political content to ride the right-wing popularity wave, and isn’t saying anything new.

I can't imagine being arrogant enough to think that research isn't worth doing if I can't intuit the reasons for it after reading a short second-hand description.

Russell Martin. 54.5 fWAR has him in the same range as Joe Mauer (53.5) and Yadier Molina (55.6). I think he flies under the radar because defense made up a big part of his value, and because he had a bit of a nomadic career, never spending more than 5 seasons with one team in the majors.
