The new Living Wage from 1 Sept 2025.

@clrenney.bsky.social is outlining to the Living Wage movement just how taxpayers end up subsidizing workers on the minimum wage, when if they're paid the Living Wage everyone is better off (except contact owners, who send excess profits overseas!). People's work is about income, and Dignity!

Where are the people of our liberal democracies with this?

When do we value something? Only when it's about to go away? No, it seems, not even then.
We have government/s that think they're so good at governing, but have no idea what's actually the important stuff, the really valuable stuff. So sad.
