Bernwood SSSI is not to be. NE lacking. So disappointed. much effort over 10yrs. so much for govt commitment to nature when it really matters. the redesignation wouldn’t impact on growth but would strength how SSSI’s are managed for rare species that are actually there. why @tonyjuniper.bsky.social

Great watching our young ecologist deliver and take part in Great crested newt training at our Swanbourne office near Milton Keynes.Lots of laughs with compulsory dunkings & much learned. Training future generations to help with informing the decision making process must be part of the growth agenda

i wonder how many built structures with underground / subterranean features up and down the country are used as swarming sites and we just don’t know they are ??? Need a national inventory and assessment (working on an idea)
