As for heating and cooling, this chart spells things out... Rolling out renewables is a priority, but linking them up to heating and cooling systems lags behind in various countries' plans.

Cool thing I did recently = birdwatching in Portugal.
We saw loads of pink flamingos! AND spoonbills, which had been on my list for a long time. The Iberian azure-winged magpies were lovely, too.

Soup celery! Key ingredient in Ulster veg soup. Bought a few plants of it three years ago. Saved seeds and they came up even better than the original plants.

Magpie supervisor has come to check on my work.

Last harvest basket of the season. Still plenty of swede, parsnip, carrot and beetroot to pull up over the next couple of months, though.

I live in Ireland. This was our view of Slieve Liag on a Friday evening a few years ago... And a sunset in the Mournes also.

Had a little break in Portugal last week and saw one of the best sunsets - if not THE best - I've ever seen.

Some photos from my most recent visit (in May). It really is something I miss about London! Though we do have a great canal walk in Belfast, too. Goes all the way to Lisburn. I've seen kingfishers on it many times.

Well this was trickier than it seems because in the process I found the drain below was blocked! It actually still needs some work at that end but I've put the rest together. Definitely an improvement overall.
