Non-violent campaigns are twice as likely to achieve their goals as violent ones.

ICE is a violent campaign. ICE is slamming elderly people to the ground. ICE is traumatizing kids.

ICE is a violent movement. Keep sharing those videos. Violence erodes popular support.

The '3.5% rule': How a small minority can change the world
Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change.

It’s worth saying that democrats do not agree with every single policy decision that every single democrat president has made. There are a lot of things Biden did that I don’t agree with. That has nothing to do with the core values of the Democratic Party

I couldn’t find any credible threats to YouTube from the Biden admin if they didn’t comply with the requests. Also, under similar pressure from the House GOP, YouTube reversed that decision and allowed the banned accounts to be reinstated.
Google's decision to walk back Biden-era YouTube account bans hailed as 'huge development' for free speech
Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley calls Google's decision to allow banned YouTube accounts to be reinstated a huge development for the free speech community.

Got any links instead of just the screenshot? Anyone can type some stuff up and screenshot it

How does that relate to the original conversation? Is Biden still the president or something?

Also there’s this from a MAGA republican
Sen. Rand Paul says FCC chair's comments threatening ABC over Jimmy Kimmel were 'absolutely inappropriate'
The Kentucky Republican said Brendan Carr had "no business weighing in" on Kimmel's comments.

Sinclair and Nexstar were threatened by Trump which resulted in them refusing to air the show. He threatened to revoke their broadcast licenses entirely. That’s a threat from the gov against a private entity for what is supposed to be protected speech
‘FCC has no business threatening to take away broadcast licenses’: Outgoing commissioner
The outgoing Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Jessica Rosenworcel condemned President-elect Trump’s threat to punish broadcast networks that he says are not fair to him. “The FCC has no b...

If you can’t grasp the nuance of this situation and understand that there’s more to be discussed that the “gotcha” line, I don’t even know what you’re trying to accomplish here.

You’re completely missing the point. It has nothing to do with what I think or want. It has to do with the fact that the government tried to shut down a tv show because the president didn’t like what he said. A private company banning someone from using their services does not compare

Freedom of speech applies between citizens and the government only. Your speech is not protected from consequences from private businesses like YouTube. Speech against the president or the US government is what is supposed to be protected

At this point, it’s up to the citizenry to either get informed and vote or to rise up and start something new. There are a few politicians with real grit and desire for change, but not many. Not enough.

That’s not a productive way to talk about it, really. Our government works a certain way, and democrats still believe in playing by those rules. Republicans have control of the House, the Senate, the Presidency and the Judiciary. Dems hold a majority in nothing with any real power.

Trump thinks he’s in a high school popularity contest when he should be handling foreign relations

Still boggles my mind that so many people thought Trump was better on foreign policy. Belligerence and bluster is not a winning strategy.
