Changed my phone today (dying battery). Absolutely terrifying experience, anxiety levels through the roof. Will it work? Will anything work?

*deep breath*

It’s ok, everything’s going to be fine. And relax.

Picked up contacts and a test print from the lab. All looks very soft - not sure about the my Mamiya Press camera at all. Seem to remember most was shot on 1/15.

I’ll give the camera a good clean and try again with a faster shutter. The perils of buying used gear…

I’m a big fan of Chris Dorley-Brown’s photographs of London.

There’s a Kickstarter for his new book, Near Dark. Think I’m going to treat myself.

Just back from town on the bicycle - Warm in the sun, cool in the shade. T-shirt and shorts. Lovely stuff.

The Hangover Cure on Soho Radio has become my Sunday tradition. It’s on right now. Time for coffee.

Isn’t it brilliant when you discover amazing new music and head straight over to YouTube to investigate further… Only to be greeted by numerous comments pointing out how they’d discovered the same song playing Fortnite. Kinda takes the shine off doesn’t it?

This photograph of Brent Reservoir is really doing it for me right now. Keep having to go back for another peek. Think it’s the volume of information.

Anyway, it’s by Edmund Clark is showing at Photo London until Sunday. I’d not planned on going but the FOMO is real.

Peter Iain Campbell - We Drift Like Worried Fire

A fascinating study of North Sea drilling rigs, production platforms and decommission sites.

Wouldn’t it be nice if one day, we could look back at this work with a sense of nostalgia (if nostalgia’s the right word?)

Marc Wilson: Travelogue 2 - A thousand days of longing

Photographs made in Ukraine before the Russian invasion. Accompanying text describes the ordeal of a family during the ongoing war.

There’s an incredibly personal feel to this book.
